HOMELESS IN VICTORIA: An Evening of Film and Discussion

Livable Income For Everyone, one of the projects the PSAC Social Justice Fund is sponsoring in BC, is presenting two documentary films discussing homelessness in Victoria. There will be an introduction by Cindy L’Hirondelle about the Guaranteed Livable Income project.

Hide and Go Homeless – 6:30 pm
In September 2004, a handful of youth with no previous experience set out to make a documentary film about poverty and homelessness in Victoria. These youth created an emotionally and politically charged film that challenges the way society and government portrays and addresses the issue ofhomelessness and poverty.
Love and Fearlessness – 7:30 pm
This documentary follows the struggles of David Arthur Johnson’s “Right to Sleep” campaign, and challenges the fact that it is illegal to sleep outsidein Victoria.
