Resolution #10
Budgetary item -long term problems ; some local go to the Conference with the idea that no increase in dues and therefore will vote down any items that look like a budget item at this time this resolution is not funding item
Resolution Gen#55
This resolution is long and very complex. Maybe it should be separated and another attempt be given to it by going though the different regions and different convention. This resolution needs clarification.
Resolution Gen#138
We must support and it must pass at this convention.
Resolution Gen#15
It’s funding for Regional Conference, cost factor, please see comments from Resolution #10. Would it be like a Women’s Regional Conference to one being separate, Questions like are Regional and the national going in opposite direction- lack of conferences to bring in other to be active in the movement.
Resolution Gen#24
Question that needs to be address is do we (B.C.) have H.R. Conferences There has never been any funding and having not had a HR conference what are the avenues open to us for equality
At Conference is the thought locally or nationally. We check to see if the Finance Committee to see if it had received it and give it its approval, there was nothing. This is a cost item.
Resolution Gen#26
Need to have an explanation and more clarification, because it looks like this motion is going to downgrade the Conference and trying to get better funding for other Equity Groups. The question is why is this Resolution here?
Resolution Gen#28
Carol feels that this one will pass because it deals with the Cost of Delegate and determines the number of Delegates.
Resolution Gen#38
This one will help increase the budget. Carol is to go for it.
(You can tell that the hour of lateness our comments and thoughts on the Resolutions are getting shorter-Is is a comment on behalf of the note taker)
Resolution Gen#3
This is a budget item it will have an affect of about $1000.0o increase. Separation in the HR community will be more noticeable because HR funding now comes National. Because of the wording of this resolution it makes it difficult to clearly get a handle on the true meaning therefore it needs clarification and it is also a Northern problem.
Resolution Gen# 75 & 76
No problems and it’s a no brainer.
Resolution Gen #77
There are major problems from our point of view. Insurance Assess at the Conference and why a Resolution? Some more work need to be done by staff before the Conference And after got get a better handle on the problem.
Carol will be reporting back to this group at the next meeting.
Next meeting: May 10, 2006 -17:45
It should be noted that there has been some problems will E-mail and staff is to look into it.
Meeting ended at 19:20
