Thanks to all of the PSAC members who visited our PSAC table at the National Public Services Week tradeshow in Downtown Vancouver last Thursday!

Sam Wiese, one of the Metro Vancouver Regional Council members (left) and Monica Urrutia, Regional Representative (below, right), staffed the PSAC table which focused on connecting with the members by ensuring good communication.

If you stopped by you were probably asked if you had received the “Our Union Voice” – the new national publication for the PSAC. In recent weeks we mailed copies directly to members’ homes, so if you haven’t received it please update your address with us.

We encouraged members to sign up for the “Em@ilout” – our monthly e-mail of the upcoming events in our union and the broader labour movement – by holding a draw for one of three PSAC-BC hooded sweatshirt generously donated by our Regional Organizer. See draw winners’ names below.

We had leaflets on the “New Faces of the PSAC” a handout about our organizing program, as well as posters for the upcoming collective bargaining course in Vancouver, the Union School and the Youth BBQ. We also had a variety of giveaways which included pens, pads of paper, and the PSAC 40^th anniversary magnets.
