James Little introduced himself as the new PSAC rep for the Fraser Valley.
The meeting was scheduled as a joint USGE Presidents meeting and Fraser Valley Area Council meeting to deliver a post convention report from Keith Glover and Jayne Johns who were both delegates to the PSAC Convention in May 2006.
Jayne provided an overview of the convention business and highlighted the budget including the levy and resolutions resulting in financial implications. Also highlighted was amended resolution C-S 30 that has direct implication on the Area Council.
Health and Safety-the new PSAC Scent Policy was presented in the Convention Guide and presented during the meeting along with the video “It’s Not in Your Head”. Each local was urged to have their Health and Safety Committees review the policy and the video.
The invitation to the new Abbotsford-Chilliwack District Labour Council on June 20, 2006 was circulated.
