BC Fed: Donna Sheaves memorial scholarship

The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 402 has established, through the BC Federation of Labour, a memorial scholarship for a union woman to attend the “Women In Leadership” course at the Canadian Labour Congress Harrison Winter School, January 21 - 26 2007.
The scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, accommodations and meals for this event.
Applicants must write a letter outlining their union activities and must briefly describe what they hope to learn from the school, and how the experience will assist them in their work in their union or the broader labour movement. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from their union.
Applications for the scholarship should be addressed to the “Donna Sheaves Memorial Scholarship”, c/o the BC Federation of Labour office. The deadline for applications is January 4, 2007. All applicants will be evaluated and the scholarship will be awarded by January 7, 2007. For more information please contact the BC Fed at 604 430 1421.
