• Motion passed allowing locals in arrears to vote on promise of dues payment (applied to UPCE 20101 & 20095, AGR 20044). Moved by Sam Wiese, Seconded by Jamey Mills – carried by dues paid affiliated members present.

• President’s Report – Sam Wiese

• Treasurer’s Report – Presented by Sam on behalf of Shane

• Statements for Oct 20-05-Sept 30-06 presented
• Statements to be audited by Regional Office
• Cheque for $600 from PSAC national has not been deposited and is now staledated, Sam to make request of REVP who will request a new cheque from national office.
• Report adopted with revisions noted. Moved by Megan Adam, seconded by Sharon Tieman

• Finances Motion: donation of $100 to the New West District Labour Council Political Action Fund in lieu of participation in this year’s chilli cook-off. Moved by Sam, seconded by Rand.

• Goals for 2007

• Communication with members key – better and more timely minutes etc.
• Political Action – Federal Election to be Area Council Focus
• Bargaining – getting members involved
• PSMA
• Revitalized Meetings and Movie Nights
• Timely events and discussion topics
• International Solidarity (Megan provided brief report of Social Justice tour to Colombia in July)

• Elections conducted by Monica and resulted in the following members being elected to the Area Council Board for 2007:

• President: Sam Wiese
• 1^st Vice-President: Megan Adam
• 2^nd Vice-President: Rhonda Johns
• Secretary: Carly Crawford
• Treasurer: Sharon Tieman
• Members at Large: Jenny Chu, Terri Lee, Tom Gallagher

• Round Table on Workplace Issues

• Door Prizes.
