On March 26-27, 2009 15 young workers came together for Young, Organizing, Unionizing and Resisting (YOUR). It was a great and diverse group and for many it was their first union event ever. James Painter and Nicole Jacobsen, as BC Regional Council Youth Representatives, helped organize the course and Kay Sinclair, REVP-BC came and spoke to the young workers as well.

: 15 Young PSAC members attended the YOUR course in March. They met new people, had fun and learned about being in a union.

: A glimpse of what the youth were expecting.

: Fun time being had by Erica, Divine, Queeny and Yong. Participants discussed questions like: Why do union need young workers and why do young workers need unions?

: Participants got to work in several different workshops over the two days.

: Nicole facilitated a discussion on Youth in the Service Sector and the need to raise the minimum wage.

: Young worker guest panelists share their thoughts on the role of youth in movement for social justice.

: Lissa contributes her classmates ideas on �How can the union help develop leaders?�

: The YOUR course was two days of laughs, good information, and quality time for young workers to meet, talk, be with other young workers
