1) Attendance: Present: Alistair Crawford, Andy Yung, Marion McLarty, Marie Kagan, Pacita Ho, Zelda San Jose, Rodney Hynes, Wanda Stachura, Kevin Ho, Karla Backer

2) Agenda: Accepted and approved.

3) Minutes – April 10, 2007 – Minutes were accepted and approved with minor change from Alistair Crawford on item 5c - Officer’s Report. * Motioned by Wanda Stachura, seconded by Zelda San Jose. (AIF) carried.

4）President’s Update - Alistair Crawford:

• Alistair advised that at the Parks Canada mobilization meeting last week, Parks Canada (Vancouver) indicated it was interested in becoming part of the local in Langley. Alistair has accepted the separation of Parks Canada (Vancouver) from our local. In short, only Parks Canada (Fort Rodd Hill, Esquimalt) remains with our Local.
• Alistair advised that the “communication tree” – a communication tool for union activities is being developed.
• Alistair advised the motion to support Marion McLarty and Wanda Stachura to attend the Summer Institute for Women in Victoria on July 4 –8, 2007 in Victoria was passed. (note: The motion was made by Alistair Crawford on May 10 via e-mail; second by Pacita Ho, passed with majority.)

5) Officer’s Report:

a) Andy Yung - Treasurer

• Andy distributed the April/07 Income and Expense Statement for members to review.

b) Marion McLarty– Vice President

• She and Wanda will attend the Summer Institute for Women in Victoria on July 4 – 8, 2007.
• The HR Conference 2007 to be held in London on September 13 to16, 2007 is inviting members for participation; the application form is available on-line on the National Component’s website.

c) Wanda Stachura – Steward Coordinator:

• Wanda advised that she has returned to her Home Department (INAC) after the completion of her assignment with Health Canada.
• She will attend the Summer Institute for Women in Victoria on July 4 – 8, 2007.

d) Karla Becker – Member At Large:

Karla advised that she is working with Joint Learning Program (JLP) to bring some workshops in the work site.

e) Marie Kagan Marie advised that she is working on updating the membership list.
